Stat. tit. 14A, § 14A-2-104","heading":"Definition: \"Consumer credit sale\"","body":"(1) Except as provided in subsection (2), \"consumer credit\n\nsale\" is a sale of goods, services or an interest in land in which\n\n(a) credit is granted by a person who regularly engages as\n\na seller in credit transactions of the same kind;\n\n(b) the buyer is a person other than an organization;\n\n(c) the goods, services or interest in land are purchased\n\nprimarily for a personal, family or household purpose;\n\n(d) either the debt is payable in installments or a credit\n\nservice charge is made; and\n\n(e) with respect to a sale of goods or services, the\n\namount financed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars\n\n($50,000.00). The dollar amount in this paragraph\n\nshall be adjusted annually as indicated by the\n\nConsumer Financial Protection Bureau by the annual\n\npercentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for\n\nUrban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, as published\n\nby the Bureau of Labor Statistics, rounded to the\n\nnearest multiple of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or\n\nOne Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) as applicable.\n\n(2) Unless the sale is made subject to the Uniform Consumer\n\nCredit Code by agreement (Section 2-601), \"consumer credit sale\"\n\ndoes not include\n\n(a) a sale in which the seller allows the buyer to\n\npurchase goods or services pursuant to a lender credit\n\ncard or similar arrangement; or\n\n(b) except as provided with respect to disclosure (Section\n\n2-301) and debtors' remedies (Section 5-201), a sale\n\nof an interest in land if the credit service charge\n\ndoes not exceed thirteen percent (13%) per year\n\ncalculated according to the actuarial method on the\n\nunpaid balances of the amount financed on the\n\nassumption that the debt will be paid according to the\n\nagreed terms and will not be paid before the end of\n\nthe agreed term.","path":["OK Code","Title 14A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os14A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d3d32a8b7984dfca38c3b203272cd3efc29d22b6f7cf24336230b065d0e608ff","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-2-103","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-2-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
