Stat. tit. 14A, § 14A-2-202","heading":"Additional charges","body":"(1) In addition to the credit service charge permitted by this\n\npart, a seller may contract for and receive the following additional\n\ncharges in connection with a consumer credit sale:\n\n(a) official fees that are itemized and disclosed in\n\naccordance with rules of the Administrator, reasonable\n\nclosing costs, and taxes;\n\n(b) charges for insurance as described in subsection (2);\n\n(c) charges for other benefits, including insurance,\n\nconferred on the buyer, if the benefits are of value\n\nto him and if the charges are reasonable in relation\n\nto the benefits, are of a type which is not for\n\ncredit, and are excluded as permissible additional\n\ncharges from the credit service charge by rule adopted\n\nby the Administrator; and\n\n(d) charges to recover the costs associated with\n\nprocessing applications, including but not limited to\n\ncost of services such as credit reports and credit\n\ninvestigations.\n\n(2) An additional charge may be made for insurance written in\n\nconnection with the sale, other than insurance protecting the seller\n\nagainst the buyer's default or other credit loss,\n\n(a) with respect to insurance against loss of or damage to\n\nproperty, or against liability, if the seller\n\nfurnishes a clear and specific statement in writing to\n\nthe buyer, setting forth the cost of the insurance if\n\nobtained from or through the seller, and stating that\n\nthe buyer may choose the person through whom the\n\ninsurance is to be obtained; and\n\n(b) with respect to consumer credit insurance providing\n\nlife, accident or health coverage, if the insurance\n\ncoverage is not a factor in the approval by the seller\n\nof the extension of credit and this fact is clearly\n\ndisclosed in writing to the buyer, and if, in order to\n\nobtain the insurance in connection with the extension\n\nof credit, the buyer gives specific affirmative\n\nwritten indication of his desire to do so after\n\nwritten disclosure to him of the cost thereof.","path":["OK Code","Title 14A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os14A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3e6fce38158774091437b3a4586d0b3097120adfb11d38fee1835a7dae8a71dd","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-2-201","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-2-202.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
