Stat. tit. 14A, § 14A-2-502","heading":"Buyer's right to cancel","body":"(1) Except as provided in subsection (5), in addition to any\n\nright otherwise to revoke an offer, the buyer has the right to\n\ncancel a home solicitation sale until midnight of the third business\n\nday after the day on which the buyer signs an agreement or offer to\n\npurchase which complies with this part.\n\n(2) Cancellation occurs when the buyer gives written notice of\n\ncancellation to the seller at the address stated in the agreement or\n\noffer to purchase.\n\n(3) Notice of cancellation, if given by mail, is given when it\n\nis deposited in a mailbox properly addressed and postage prepaid.\n\n(4) Notice of cancellation given by the buyer need not take a\n\nparticular form and is sufficient if it indicates by any form of\n\nwritten expression the intention of the buyer not to be bound by the\n\nhome solicitation sale.\n\n(5) The buyer may not cancel a home solicitation sale if the\n\nbuyer requests the seller to provide goods or services without delay\n\nbecause of an emergency; and\n\n(a) the seller in good faith makes a substantial beginning\n\nof performance of the contract before the buyer gives\n\nnotice of cancellation; and\n\n(b) in the case of goods, the goods cannot be returned to\n\nthe seller in substantially as good condition as when\n\nreceived by the buyer.\n\n(6) If a home solicitation sale is also subject to the\n\nprovisions on debtor's right to rescind certain transactions\n\n(Section 5-204), the buyer may proceed either under those provisions\n\nor under this part.","path":["OK Code","Title 14A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os14A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d29aa1b6a826bb138d7ab8a551034a7cbdf6a705e7a965811df5544cbb1ed0a6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-2-501","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-2-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
