Stat. tit. 14A, § 14A-3-704","heading":"Restrictions on private educational lenders","body":"(1) A private educational lender may not use the name, emblem,\n\nmascot, or logo of the covered educational institution, or other\n\nwords, pictures, or symbols readily identified with the covered\n\neducational institution, in the marketing of private education loans\n\nin any way that implies that the covered educational institution\n\nendorses the private education loans offered by the private\n\neducational lender.\n\n(2) Any person who is employed in the financial aid office of a\n\ncovered educational institution, or who otherwise has\n\nresponsibilities with respect to private education loans or other\n\nfinancial aid of the institution, and who serves on an advisory\n\nboard, commission, or group established by a private educational\n\nlender or group of such lenders shall be prohibited from receiving\n\nanything of value from the private educational lender or group of\n\nlenders. Nothing in this subsection prohibits the reimbursement of\n\nreasonable expenses incurred by an employee of a covered educational\n\ninstitution as part of their service on an advisory board,\n\ncommission, or group described in this subsection.\n\n(3) It shall be unlawful for any private educational lender to\n\nimpose a fee or penalty on a borrower for early repayment or\n\nprepayment of any private education loan.\n\n(4) An institution of higher education shall publicly disclose\n\nany contract or other agreement made with a card issuer or creditor\n\nfor the purpose of marketing a credit card.\n\n(5) No card issuer or creditor may offer to a student at an\n\ninstitution of higher education any tangible item to induce such\n\nstudent to apply for or participate in an open-end consumer credit\n\nplan offered by such card issuer or creditor, if such offer is made:\n\n(a) on the campus of an institution of higher education;\n\n(b) near the campus of an institution of higher education,\n\nas determined by rule of the Administrator; or\n\n(c) at an event sponsored by or related to an institution\n\nof higher education.","path":["OK Code","Title 14A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os14A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b4f7932b91d3df520e6733e64c0c331001a403ced744be3f28ab1cd8f0f6c5ea","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-3-703","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-3-705"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
