Stat. tit. 14A, § 14A-3-809","heading":"License required - Application","body":"LICENSE REQUIRED; APPLICATION.\n\nA. A consumer litigation funder shall obtain a license from the\n\nAdministrator before engaging in an activity in this state that\n\nshall be performed under a consumer litigation funding agreement\n\nthat complies with this act.\n\nB. A consumer litigation funder shall file a licensing\n\napplication in the form and manner prescribed by the Administrator.\n\nThe application shall:\n\n1. Contain all information the Administrator requires to\n\nevaluate the character and fitness of the applicant, and if the\n\napplicant is an entity, the character and fitness of each officer\n\nand director of the applicant funder; and\n\n2. Be accompanied by a fee of Two Hundred Ninety Dollars\n\n($290.00).\n\nC. Nothing in this section shall prohibit a company doing\n\nbusiness as a consumer litigation funder in this state on the\n\neffective date of this act from continuing to do so during the time\n\nperiod in which the initial licensure application is being processed\n\nby the Administrator, and until such time as the application is\n\napproved or denied.","path":["OK Code","Title 14A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os14A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b28ce1384eba45d25c73204f7fe554372022b579d6f8c0e02a8498b9e5fd536f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-3-807","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-3-810"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
