Stat. tit. 14A, § 14A-5-108","heading":"Unconscionability","body":"(1) With respect to a consumer credit sale, consumer lease, or\n\nconsumer loan, if the court as a matter of law finds the agreement\n\nor any clause of the agreement to have been unconscionable at the\n\ntime it was made the court may refuse to enforce the agreement, or\n\nit may enforce the remainder of the agreement without the\n\nunconscionable clause, or it may so limit the application of any\n\nunconscionable clause as to avoid any unconscionable result.\n\n(2) If it is claimed or appears to the court that the agreement\n\nor any clause thereof may be unconscionable the parties shall be\n\nafforded a reasonable opportunity to present evidence as to its\n\nsetting, purpose, and effect to aid the court in making the\n\ndetermination.\n\n(3) For the purposes of this section, a charge or practice\n\nexpressly permitted by this act is not in itself unconscionable.","path":["OK Code","Title 14A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os14A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"dccc2493068931c5419ab08c7ca8190b48998b1ad2b9de13bd43e150ba91e4bd","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-5-107","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-14a-14a-5-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
