Whenever the Insurance Commissioner has reason to believe\n\nthat any person has engaged, or is engaging, in this state in any\n\nunfair method of competition or any unfair or deceptive act or\n\npractice as defined in Section 26 of this act, or is engaging in the\n\nbusiness of service warranty without being properly licensed, and\n\nthat a proceeding by the Commissioner in respect thereto would be in\n\nthe interest of the public, the Commissioner shall conduct or cause\n\nto have conducted a hearing in accordance with Article II of the\n\nAdministrative Procedures Act.\n\nB. A statement of charges, notice, order, or other process may\n\nbe served by anyone duly authorized by the Insurance Commissioner,\n\neither in the manner provided by law for service of process in civil\n\nactions or by certifying and mailing a copy thereof to the person\n\naffected by such statement, notice, order, or other process at the\n\nresidence or principal office or place of business of the person.\n\nThe verified return by the person so serving such statement, notice,\n\norder, or other process, setting forth the manner of the service, is\n\nproof of the same; and the return postcard receipt for such\n\nstatement, notice, order, or other process, certified and mailed as\n\nprovided in this subsection, is proof of service of the same.","path":["OK Code","Title 15"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os15.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"2178bf5dacf770860b4a6b21b2911a4e8b6ca74c47816fc8e31bdb8447179fae","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-15-15-141.27","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-15-15-141.29"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
