Stat. tit. 15, § 15-141.33","heading":"Examination of claim files by Commissioner – Civil","body":"penalties.\n\nA. Claim files of service warranty associations licensed\n\npursuant to the Service Warranty Act shall be subject to examination\n\nby the Insurance Commissioner or by duly appointed designees. The\n\nclaim files shall contain all notes and work papers pertaining to a\n\nclaim in such detail that pertinent events and the dates of the\n\nevents can be reconstructed. In addition, the Commissioner and\n\nauthorized employees and examiners shall have access to any files of\n\na service warranty association that may relate to a particular\n\ncomplaint under investigation or to an inquiry or examination by the\n\nInsurance Department.\n\nB. Every service warranty association, upon receipt of any\n\ninquiry from the Commissioner, shall, within twenty (20) days from\n\nthe date of the inquiry, furnish the Commissioner with an adequate\n\nresponse to the inquiry.\n\nC. Every service warranty association, upon receipt of any\n\npertinent written communication including, but not limited to,\n\nelectronic mail or other forms of written electronic communication\n\nor documentation by the service warranty association of a verbal\n\ncommunication from a claimant which reasonably suggests that a\n\nresponse is expected, shall, within thirty (30) days after receipt\n\nthereof, furnish the claimant with an adequate response to the\n\ncommunication.\n\nD.
