Stat. tit. 15, § 15-685","heading":"Disclosure of certain information to customer - Time","body":"period.\n\nIn either the first written communication from the invention\n\ndeveloper to a specific customer or at the first personal meeting\n\nbetween the invention developer and a customer, the invention\n\ndeveloper shall make a written disclosure to the customer of the\n\ninformation required in this section.\n\nThe disclosure shall:\n\n1. state the median fee charged to all of the customers of the\n\ninvention developer who have signed contracts with the invention\n\ndeveloper in the preceding six (6) months, excluding customers who\n\nhave signed in the preceding thirty (30) days;\n\n2. include a single statement setting forth:\n\na. the total number of customers who have contracted with\n\nthe invention developer, except that the number need\n\nnot reflect those customers who have contracted within\n\nthe preceding thirty (30) days, and\n\nb. the number of customers who have received by virtue of\n\nthe invention developer's performance of invention\n\ndevelopment services an amount of money in excess of\n\nthe amount of money paid by those customers to the\n\ninvention developer pursuant to a contract for\n\ninvention development services; and\n\n3. contain the following statement:\n\n\"Unless the invention developer is an attorney, he is not\n\npermitted to give you legal advice concerning patent, copyright or\n\ntrademark law or to advise you of whether your idea or invention may\n\nbe patentable or may be protected under the patent, copyright or\n\ntrademark laws of the United States or any other law.\n\nNo patent, copyright or trademark protection will be acquired\n\nfor you by the invention developer. Your failure to inquire into\n\nthe law governing patent, copyright or trademark matters may\n\njeopardize your rights in your idea or invention, both in the United\n\nStates and in foreign countries.
