As used in the Home Repair Fraud Act:\n\n1. \"Home repair\" means the fixing, replacing, altering,\n\nconverting, modernizing, improving of or the making of an addition\n\nto any real property primarily designed or used as a residence.\n\nHome repair shall include, but not be limited to, the\n\nconstruction, installation, replacement or improvement of driveways,\n\nswimming pools, porches, roofs, siding, kitchens, chimneys, chimney\n\nliners, garages, outbuildings or storage sheds, fences, fallout\n\nshelters, air conditioning systems, heating systems, boilers,\n\nfurnaces, hot water heaters, electrical wiring, sewers, plumbing\n\nfixtures, storm doors, storm windows, awnings, floor or attic\n\nbracing, moisture control, and other improvements to residential\n\nstructures or upon the land adjacent thereto.\n\nHome repair shall not include the sale, installation, cleaning or\n\nrepair of carpets; the sale of goods or materials by a merchant who\n\ndoes not directly or through a subsidiary perform any work or labor\n\nin connection with the installation or application of the goods or\n\nmaterials; the repair, installation, replacement or connection of\n\nany home appliance including but not limited to disposals,\n\nrefrigerators, ranges, garage door openers, television antennas,\n\nwashing machines, telephones or other home appliances when the\n\nperson replacing, installing, repairing or connecting such home\n\nappliance is an employee or agent of the merchant that sold the home\n\nappliance; or landscaping; and\n\n2. \"Residence\" means a single or multiple family dwelling,\n\nincluding but not limited to a single family home, apartment\n\nbuilding, condominium, duplex or townhouse which is used or intended\n\nto be used by its occupants as their dwelling place.\n\nB.
