Stat. tit. 15, § 15-776.4","heading":"Definitions","body":"For purposes of Sections 776.1 through 776.3 of this title:\n\n1. “Electronic mail messages” means a message, file, or other\n\ninformation that is transmitted through a local, regional, or global\n\nnetwork regardless of whether the message, file, or other\n\ninformation is viewed, stored for retrieval at a later time, printed\n\non to paper or other similar material, or is filtered or screened by\n\na computer program that is designed or intended to filter or screen\n\nitems of electronic mail;\n\n2. “Fraudulent electronic mail message” or “fraudulent bulk\n\nelectronic mail message” means any electronic mail message or bulk\n\nelectronic mail message which is declared unlawful by subsection A\n\nof Section 776.1 of this title;\n\n3. “Initiate the transmission” means the action of the original\n\nsender of an electronic mail message, not to the action by any\n\nintervening computer service that may handle or retransmit the\n\nmessage;\n\n4. “Computer network” means a set of related, remotely\n\nconnected devices and any communications facilities including more\n\nthan one computer with the capability to transmit data among them\n\nthrough the communications facilities;\n\n5. “Electronic mail service provider” means any person who:\n\na. is an intermediary in sending or receiving electronic\n\nmail, and\n\nb. provides to end-users of electronic mail services the\n\nability to send or receive electronic mail;\n\n6. “Identifying information” means information that alone or in\n\nconjunction with other information identifies an individual,\n\nincluding but not limited to:\n\na. name, social security number, date of birth, and\n\ngovernment-issued identification number,\n\nb. unique biometric data, including the fingerprint,\n\nvoice print, and retina or iris image of an\n\nindividual,\n\nc. unique electronic identification number, address, and\n\nrouting code, financial institution account number,\n\nand\n\nd. telecommunication identifying information or access\n\ndevice; and\n\n7. “Web page” means a location that has a single uniform\n\nresource locator (URL) with respect to the world wide web or another\n\nlocation that can be accessed on the Internet.","path":["OK Code","Title 15"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os15.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c423422f6288a447e763f31c97418925ea48af205fcdd9ed69f358738fba1eb8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-15-15-776.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-15-15-776.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
