No instrument affecting the title to real estate shall be\n\nfiled for record or recorded unless plainly printed, typed, or\n\nhandwritten or partly printed, partly typed, or partly handwritten,\n\nand the instrument is an original or a certified copy of an original\n\ninstrument, clearly legible in the English language.\n\nB. The provisions of subsection A of this section shall not\n\nprevent the filing of documents electronically pursuant to the\n\nUniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 1171.
