Stat. tit. 16, § 16-37a","heading":"Foreign acknowledgments validated","body":"All deeds, mortgages, releases, oil and gas leases, powers of\n\nattorney and other instruments of writing for the conveyance or\n\nencumbrance of any lands, tenements, or hereditaments situated\n\nwithin this state, heretofore executed and acknowledged or proved in\n\nany state, territory, District of Columbia or foreign country in\n\nconformity with the law of such state, territory, District of\n\nColumbia or foreign country, shall be as valid as to execution and\n\nacknowledgment thereof, only, as if executed and acknowledged within\n\nthis state in conformity with the provisions of the laws of this\n\nstate.
