Stat. tit. 16, § 16-39a","heading":"Record of deeds, mortgages, etc., where acknowledgment","body":"defective - Validation.\n\nAll deeds, mortgages, conveyances, or other instruments\n\naffecting the title to real property in the state, the\n\nacknowledgment of which was taken and certificate of acknowledgment\n\nexecuted by a Justice of the Peace of the county wherein such real\n\nproperty is situated, and/or where any notarial acknowledgment was\n\ntaken before a notary public of any county in this state or of any\n\nother state where the certificate of acknowledgment is defective in\n\nform, and where any such instrument has actually been filed and\n\nrecorded or copied into the permanent volumes of public title\n\nrecords in the office of the county clerk of the county in which\n\nsaid property is situated for a period of five or more years and has\n\nnot been canceled of record, the recording of any such instrument is\n\nand shall be and become a valid public record in all respects and\n\nfor all purposes as fully as if the same had been originally\n\nacknowledged before and certificate executed by an authorized\n\nofficer and in the manner and form required by law at the time of\n\nthe execution thereof.","path":["OK Code","Title 16"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os16.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"314950ab49b2d366718932855968b0a6a3ec1c4580d791f71a48c8f4c933cefb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-16-16-39","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-16-16-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
