Stat. tit. 16, § 16-86.5","heading":"Administration and standards","body":"ADMINISTRATION AND STANDARDS.\n\n(a) The Archives and Records Commission shall adopt standards\n\nto implement the Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act.\n\n(b) To keep the standards and practices of county clerks in\n\nthis state in harmony with the standards and practices of recording\n\noffices in other jurisdictions that enact substantially the Uniform\n\nReal Property Electronic Recording Act and to keep the technology\n\nused by county clerks in this state compatible with technology used\n\nby recording offices in other jurisdictions that enact substantially\n\nthe Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act, the Archives and\n\nRecords Commission, so far as is consistent with the purposes,\n\npolicies, and provisions of the Uniform Real Property Electronic\n\nRecording Act, in adopting, amending, and repealing standards shall\n\nconsider:\n\n(1) Standards and practices of other jurisdictions;\n\n(2) The most recent standards promulgated by national standard-\n\nsetting bodies, such as the Property Records Industry Association;\n\n(3) The views of interested persons and governmental officials\n\nand entities;\n\n(4) The needs of counties of varying size, population, and\n\nresources; and\n\n(5) Standards requiring adequate information security\n\nprotection to ensure that electronic documents are accurate,\n\nauthentic, adequately preserved, and resistant to tampering.","path":["OK Code","Title 16"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os16.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f05f04856e846f8de534c32959e41fc561e79137d87f092b6257e1141cbdf03d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-16-16-86.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-16-16-86.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
