Stat. tit. 16, § 16-9","heading":"Copy of petition to be served","body":"At least thirty (30) days before the hearing of the petition,\n\nthe applicant or his attorney shall serve a copy of the petition\n\nupon the nearest competent relative of the incapacitated spouse in\n\nthis state. If there is no such relative known to the applicant, a\n\ncopy of the petition shall be served upon the district attorney of\n\nthe county in which the homestead is located.
