Upon a determination by the Corporation Commission of\n\nviolation of any of its rules, orders or other requirements, a\n\ncorporation, person or firm may be fined by the Commission, a sum\n\nnot to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), as the Commission may\n\ndeem proper. Each day's continuance of such violation, after due\n\nservice upon such corporation, person or firm, of the order or\n\nrequirement of the Commission shall be a separate offense.\n\n2. If the operation of such order or requirement is suspended,\n\npending an appeal, the period of such suspension shall not be\n\ncomputed against the corporation, person or firm, with regard to its\n\nliability for fines and penalties.\n\nB. Any corporation, person or firm that switches the local or\n\nlong distance telephone, electrical energy, or natural gas service\n\nprovider of a customer without the consent of the customer may be\n\nfined by the Commission a sum not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars\n\n($10,000.00) per occurrence, as the Commission may deem proper after\n\nnotice and opportunity for hearing.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 1192.
