Stat. tit. 17, § 17-158.28","heading":"Applicabilty of act","body":"The provisions of this act shall not be applicable to municipal\n\ncorporations, or beneficial trusts thereof, owning or operating\n\nelectric lines or generating facilities, or the financing of a rural\n\nelectric cooperative or association; and nothing in this act shall\n\nprohibit or shall ever be construed to prohibit any municipal\n\ncorporation, or beneficial trusts thereof, owning or operating\n\nelectric lines, from furnishing electric service to any territory\n\nthereafter annexed to and incorporated into the corporate limits of\n\nsaid municipal corporation, or from acquiring the electric\n\ndistribution facilities of any association or cooperative\n\ncorporation as now provided in Title 18, Section 437.2. Provided\n\nfurther that it shall not be necessary for any such municipal\n\ncorporation, or beneficial trusts thereof, to secure the prior\n\norder, consent or authorization of the Commission to proceed under\n\nsaid Title 18, Section 437.2, but after the acquisition of any such\n\nelectric distribution facilities of any association or cooperative\n\ncorporation, the Commission shall be notified by such municipal\n\ncorporation as to the description of the territory annexed and\n\nincorporated into the corporate limits in order that the Commission\n\nmay adjust its required maps.","path":["OK Code","Title 17"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os17.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a6a879ecaf7a53d702bcc18a72c57a0a55998f0dc8cd4b9637de0ba0840d5736","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-17-17-158.27","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-17-17-158.29"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
