Stat. tit. 17, § 17-159.18","heading":"Assignment of certificate","body":"Certificates of convenience and necessity issued pursuant to\n\nthis act or amendments thereto shall not be assigned, leased or\n\nalienated in any way except with the consent of the Commission upon\n\nthe petition of the holder of the certificate, and only then when\n\nthe physical assets of the water transportation company or that part\n\nthereof covered by the certificate are assigned, leased or alienated\n\nto the same assignee to assign a certificate of convenience and\n\nnecessity, the Commission shall cause the same to be set for hearing\n\nand give due and proper notice in writing at least ten (10) days\n\nprior to the date of the hearing to all persons who are served by\n\nthe facilities covered by the certificate which is sought to be\n\ntransferred, and by the publication once a week for two (2)\n\nconsecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in each\n\ncounty in which the line is located.
