Stat. tit. 17, § 17-18","heading":"Expert witnesses - Documentation of justification","body":"The Corporation Commission is authorized to employ expert\n\nwitnesses to prepare and present testimony in matters pending before\n\nthe Commission or in matters concerning the Commission pending in\n\nother state or federal forums. The selection and compensation of\n\nexpert witnesses by the Corporation Commission shall be exempt from\n\nthe Oklahoma Central Purchasing Act. For expert witnesses selected\n\npursuant to this section, the Commission shall document, in writing,\n\nthe justification for choosing the person selected. The\n\njustification shall include the number of expert witnesses\n\nconsidered and the cost to the state.
