Stat. tit. 17, § 17-181","heading":"Definitions","body":"In this act unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Public utility\" means and embraces every corporation\n\norganized or doing business in this state, (except a\n\nmunicipal corporation or other political subdivision\n\nof this state), that now owns or hereafter may own,\n\noperate or manage any plant or equipment for the\n\nmanufacture, production, transmission, delivery or of\n\nfurnishing electric current for light, heat or power\n\nfor public use in this state, provided that such term\n\nshall not include entities as described by the\n\nprovisions of paragraph 2 of subsection B of Section\n\n151 of this title.\n\n(2) \"Commission\" means the Corporation Commission of the\n\nState of Oklahoma.\n\n(3) \"Securities\" means capital stock and evidences of\n\nindebtedness having the standing of negotiable\n\ninstruments of a public utility, not including,\n\nhowever, any such obligation falling due twelve (12)\n\nmonths or less after its issuance.","path":["OK Code","Title 17"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os17.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bd0df730d4d5d19cce47e028c2c8010d8245fd702ccf19bec8d843134ee0e736","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-17-17-180.7","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-17-17-182"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
