Stat. tit. 17, § 17-185","heading":"Application - Filing - Examination - Issuance of","body":"certificate.\n\n(1) Any public utility desiring to issue securities, or to\n\ncreate liens to secure evidences of indebtedness, shall file with\n\nthe Commission an application verified by its president or vice-\n\npresident, (or by the signers of its articles of organization if it\n\nhas not yet elected officers), setting forth: (1) The amount and\n\ncharacter of the proposed securities or liens; (2) the general\n\npurposes for which they are to be issued or created, including a\n\ndescription and statement of the value of any property or services\n\nthat are to be received in full or partial payment for the\n\nsecurities or in a proper case the evidences of indebtedness to be\n\nsecured by the lien or liens, and of any property or services\n\nalready received by the public utility, the cost of which is to be\n\nreimbursed to the public utility by the proceeds of such securities\n\nor evidences of indebtedness; and (4) a balance sheet of the public\n\nutility as of the most recent available date.\n\n(2) The Commission shall examine all applications filed with it\n\npursuant to this act, and if the proposed issue of securities or\n\ncreation of lien or liens complies with the provisions of this act,\n\nit shall issue to the public utility a certificate of authority\n\npermitting such issue or creation.","path":["OK Code","Title 17"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os17.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"05c50712f589459c12c1c9452de48e4ab104a20b9015cf4ac32f1f28ff76e180","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-17-17-184","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-17-17-186"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
