Stat. tit. 17, § 17-42","heading":"License from Corporation Commission - Necessity - Showing -","body":"Fee.\n\nNo person or persons, or corporation, in this state shall be\n\npermitted to maintain and operate a gin for the purpose of ginning\n\nseed cotton of the general public, or of ginning seed cotton not\n\nproduced and owned by the person or persons, or the stockholders of\n\nthe corporation maintaining and operating said gin, without first\n\nhaving secured a license for such purpose from the State Corporation\n\nCommission, said license to be issued upon proper showing to be made\n\nas prescribed by the rules and regulations promulgated by the\n\nCommission. The fee for said license issued by the Corporation\n\nCommission is hereby fixed at three cents ($0.03) per bale, based on\n\nthe number of bales ginned the previous year as shown by the final\n\nreport of said gin, on file, with the Corporation Commission.
