Stat. tit. 17, § 17-710.2","heading":"Legislative findings","body":"The Legislature finds that smart grid and smart meter\n\ntechnologies have the potential to provide substantial benefits to\n\nconsumers and the environment, including reduced energy costs,\n\nincreased energy efficiency, and increased reliability of the\n\nelectric grid. The Legislature recognizes, however, that the use of\n\nadvanced metering technology may give electric utilities and\n\nconsumers access to more detailed usage data than that collected by\n\nconventional electric utility services.
