An electric utility shall provide customers with reasonable\n\naccess to and shall maintain the confidentiality of customer\n\ninformation as provided for in Sections 5 through 8 of this act.\n\nB. Electric utilities may utilize customer-identifiable usage\n\ndata for their internal regulated business purposes which may\n\ninclude, but are not limited to, the:\n\n1. Provision of services in an effective and efficient manner;\n\n2. Collection of charges and other fees from customers for\n\nservices provided;\n\n3. Planning, operation, maintenance, repair or optimization of\n\nthe electric utility infrastructure; and\n\n4. Subject to approval by the Commission, or in the case of a\n\nself-regulated cooperative subject to approval of its board of\n\ntrustees, development, enhancement, marketing, provision of energy-\n\nrelated products and services or promotion of public policy\n\nobjectives.\n\nC.
