Stat. tit. 17, § 17-86","heading":"Extra hazardous crossings - Protective devices - Costs","body":"The Oklahoma Corporation Commission shall have the authority,\n\nafter having made proper investigations, to designate those grade\n\ncrossings which are extra hazardous. At all such crossings so\n\ndesignated, the Commission shall have the authority to order the\n\ninstallation of appropriate protective devices. All such\n\ninstallations to be performed by the railroad. The Commission shall\n\nhave the authority to determine the number, type, and location of\n\nsuch signs, signals, gates or other protective devices, which,\n\nhowever, shall conform as near as may be with generally-recognized\n\nnational standards, and said Commission shall have authority to\n\nprescribe the division of the cost of the installation of such\n\nsigns, signals, gates or other protective devices between the public\n\nutility and the state or its political subdivisions; provided,\n\nhowever, that the cost to the utility shall be not less than ten\n\npercent (10%) or more than twenty-five percent (25%) of the total\n\ncosts. The railroads shall be responsible for all subsequent\n\nmaintenance and cost thereof.
