Stat. tit. 18, § 18-1005","heading":"Incorporators - How Corporation Formed - Purposes","body":"INCORPORATORS; HOW CORPORATION FORMED; PURPOSES\n\nA. Any person, partnership, association or corporation, singly\n\nor jointly with others, and without regard to his or their\n\nresidence, domicile or state of incorporation, may incorporate or\n\norganize a corporation pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma\n\nGeneral Corporation Act by filing with the Secretary of State a\n\ncertificate of incorporation which shall be executed, acknowledged\n\nand filed in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 of this\n\nact; provided, however, at least three (3) persons, partnerships,\n\nassociations, or corporations, or any combination thereof, shall be\n\nrequired to incorporate as a not for profit corporation pursuant to\n\nthe provisions of the Oklahoma General Corporation Act.\n\nB. A corporation may be incorporated or organized pursuant to\n\nthe provisions of the Oklahoma General Corporation Act to conduct or\n\npromote any lawful business or purposes, except as may otherwise be\n\nprovided by the Constitution or other law of this state.\n\nC. Corporations for constructing, maintaining and operating\n\npublic utilities, whether in or outside of this state, may be\n\norganized pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma General\n\nCorporation Act, but corporations for constructing, maintaining and\n\noperating public utilities within this state shall be subject to, in\n\naddition to the provisions of the Oklahoma General Corporation Act,\n\nthe special provisions and requirements of Title 17 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes applicable to such corporations.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0ed92ceb24f040e4dab40d1cf05173992b4b6f85a5e8e3537eb1dd2084a191c9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-1004.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-1006"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
