Stat. tit. 18, § 18-381.42","heading":"Deposit accounts of incompetents","body":"When a deposit account is held in any association or federal\n\nassociation by a person who becomes incompetent and an adjudication\n\nof incompetency has been made by a court of competent jurisdiction,\n\nsuch an association may pay or deliver the withdrawal value of such\n\ndeposit account and any earnings that may have accrued thereon to\n\nthe guardian or conservator for such person upon proof of the\n\nappointment and qualification of such guardian or conservator.\n\nHowever, if such association has received no written notice and is\n\nnot on actual notice that such deposit account holder has been\n\nadjudicated incompetent, it may pay such funds to such holder or\n\ntransfer the deposit account on the order of the deposit account\n\nholder, and such payment or transfer shall be a valid and sufficient\n\nrelease and discharge of the association for the payment or transfer\n\nso made.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fb30709b33d645f777292bb6147b17e965d7224029b8f5808e252920f6f28dd9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-381.41a","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-381.43"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
