Stat. tit. 18, § 18-423","heading":"Filing of articles - Certificate - Election by existing","body":"corporations.\n\nThe articles of incorporation shall be filed with the Secretary\n\nof State whereupon he shall issue to the corporation over the Great\n\nSeal of the State of Oklahoma, a certificate that the articles\n\ncontaining the required statement of facts have been filed in his\n\noffice, and thereupon the persons signing the articles and their\n\nassociates, successors and assigns shall be a body politic and\n\ncorporate by the name and for the purposes stated in said article.\n\nProvided, that any corporation doing business as mentioned in\n\nSection One, now operating in the State of Oklahoma, may, at regular\n\nor special meeting of the shareholders called for such purpose, by a\n\nmajority vote elect to operate under the provisions of this act,\n\nafter the action taken at such meeting shall be properly certified\n\nby the secretary of such corporation to the Secretary of State.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b47b301c6fb06aaddf3cdb08f59345985c5e297252c3166952d38472bc6d6bc5","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-422","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-424"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
