Stat. tit. 18, § 18-425","heading":"Powers","body":"Each corporation formed under the provisions of this act shall\n\nhave power:\n\n(1) To have succession by its corporate name for the period\n\nlimited in its certificate.\n\n(2) To sue and be sued, complain and defend in any court.\n\n(3) To establish and use a common seal and alter the same.\n\n(4) To hold, purchase and convey such real and personal property\n\nas the purpose of the corporation may require, including stock in\n\nsubsidiary or allied cooperative corporations within or without the\n\nstate.\n\n(5) To appoint such officers and agents as the business may\n\nrequire, including in every case a president and secretary, and to\n\nfix their compensation.\n\n(6) To make bylaws not inconsistent with law for the management\n\nof its property, the regulation of its business and the transfer of\n\nits stock.\n\n(7) To exercise all other lawful powers necessary or proper for\n\nthe exercise of the powers herein conferred.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"8bc2f72683d6edbd2481dd8eebcb56a25e68dcaa351467dbc19418843de7e8f2","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-424","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-426"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
