Stat. tit. 18, § 18-438.3","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Cooperative\" means any corporation organized pursuant to or\n\nwhich becomes subject to the provisions of the Telephone Cooperative\n\nCorporations Act;\n\n2. \"Person\" means any natural person, firm, association,\n\ncorporation, business trust, or partnership;\n\n3. \"Telephone company\" means any natural person, firm,\n\nassociation, corporation, or partnership, other than a cooperative\n\nor mutual telephone company, owning, leasing, or operating any line,\n\nfacility, or system used in furnishing telephone service within this\n\nstate;\n\n4. \"Communication services\" means the transmitting, receiving,\n\nor both, of information, signals or messages by wire, radio,\n\ncellular radio, microwave, fiber optics or any other means, and\n\nincludes, but is not limited to, the providing of lines, facilities\n\nand systems used in providing the services;\n\n5. \"Member\" means the incorporators of a cooperative and each\n\nperson thereafter lawfully admitted to membership therein pursuant\n\nto the provisions contained in the bylaws; and\n\n6. \"Patron\" means a member of the cooperative who is eligible\n\nto receive patronage dividends or to earn capital credits as a\n\nresult of the purchase of certain services from the cooperative, as\n\nprovided by subsection D of Section 438.9 of this title.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f26cb0c3286aa401d095bf034e533ad68435f39fc437499767409aff06d2912c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-438.29","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-438.30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
