Stat. tit. 18, § 18-438.5","heading":"Name","body":"The name of a cooperative shall include the words \"telephone\"\n\nand \"cooperative\", and the abbreviation \"Inc.\", unless, in an\n\naffidavit made by its president or vice president, and filed with\n\nthe Secretary of State, or in an affidavit made by a person signing\n\narticles of incorporation, consolidation, merger or conversion,\n\nwhich relate to such cooperative, and filed, together with any such\n\narticles, with the Secretary of State, it shall appear that the\n\ncooperative desires to do business in another state and is or would\n\nbe precluded therefrom by reason of the inclusion of such words or\n\neither thereof in its name. The name of a cooperative shall be\n\ndistinct from the name of any other cooperative or corporation\n\norganized under the laws of, or authorized to do business in, this\n\nstate.
