Stat. tit. 18, § 18-441-120","heading":"Service of process","body":"SERVICE OF PROCESS.\n\n(a) An agent for service of process appointed by a limited\n\ncooperative association or foreign cooperative is an agent of the\n\nassociation or foreign cooperative for service of process, notice,\n\nor a demand required or permitted by law to be served upon the\n\nassociation or foreign cooperative.\n\n(b) If a limited cooperative association or foreign cooperative\n\ndoes not appoint or maintain an agent for service of process in this\n\nstate or the agent for service of process cannot with reasonable\n\ndiligence be found at the address of the designated office on file\n\nwith the Secretary of State, the Secretary of State is an agent of\n\nthe association or foreign cooperative upon which process, notice,\n\nor a demand may be served.\n\n(c) Service of process, notice, or a demand on the Secretary of\n\nState as agent of a limited cooperative association or foreign\n\ncooperative may be made by delivering to the Secretary of State two\n\ncopies of the process, notice, or demand. The Secretary of State\n\nshall forward one copy by registered or certified mail, return\n\nreceipt requested, to the association or foreign cooperative at its\n\nprincipal office.\n\n(d) Service is effected under subsection (c) of this section on\n\nthe earliest of:\n\n(1) The date the limited cooperative association or foreign\n\ncooperative receives the process, notice, or demand;\n\n(2) The date shown on the return receipt, if signed on behalf\n\nof the association or foreign cooperative; or\n\n(3) Five (5) days after the process, notice, or demand is\n\ndeposited by the Secretary of State for delivery by the United\n\nStates Postal Service, if postage is prepaid to the address of the\n\nprincipal office on file with the Secretary of State.\n\n(e) The Secretary of State shall keep a record of each process,\n\nnotice, and demand served pursuant to this section and record the\n\ntime of, and the action taken regarding, the service.\n\n(f) This section does not affect the right to serve process,\n\nnotice, or a demand in any other manner provided by law.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0caacf6fd94696231e6de270cd3adc2380fab5cd3ad08593fb53ae39df662192","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-441-119","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-441-1201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
