Stat. tit. 18, § 18-441-1208","heading":"Known claims against dissolved limited cooperative","body":"association.\n\nKNOWN CLAIMS AGAINST DISSOLVED LIMITED COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION.\n\n(a) Subject to subsection (d) of this section, a dissolved\n\nlimited cooperative association may dispose of the known claims\n\nagainst it by following the procedure in subsections (b) and (c) of\n\nthis section.\n\n(b) A dissolved limited cooperative association may notify its\n\nknown claimants of the dissolution in a record. The notice must:\n\n(1) Specify that a claim be in a record;\n\n(2) Specify the information required to be included in the\n\nclaim;\n\n(3) Provide an address to which the claim must be sent;\n\n(4) State the deadline for receipt of the claim, which may not\n\nbe less than one hundred twenty (120) days after the date the notice\n\nis received by the claimant; and\n\n(5) State that the claim will be barred if not received by the\n\ndeadline.\n\n(c) A claim against a dissolved limited cooperative association\n\nis barred if the requirements of subsection (b) of this section are\n\nmet, and:\n\n(1) The association is not notified of the claimant’s claim, in\n\na record, by the deadline specified in the notice under paragraph\n\n(4) of subsection (b) of this section;\n\n(2) In the case of a claim that is timely received but rejected\n\nby the association, the claimant does not commence an action to\n\nenforce the claim against the association within ninety (90) days\n\nafter receipt of the notice of the rejection; or\n\n(3) If a claim is timely received but is neither accepted nor\n\nrejected by the association within one hundred twenty (120) days\n\nafter the deadline for receipt of claims, the claimant does not\n\ncommence an action to enforce the claim against the association:\n\n(A) after the one-hundred-twenty-day period; and\n\n(B) not later than ninety (90) days after the one-hundred-\n\ntwenty-day period.\n\n(d) This section does not apply to a claim based on an event\n\noccurring after the date of dissolution or a liability that is\n\ncontingent on that date.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"93b292c2d57fda5d0579a0c4aa9200b9d262317b32d879808f036dbcaf0b8c0f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-441-1207","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-441-1209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
