Stat. tit. 18, § 18-441-404","heading":"Voting by district, class, or voting group","body":"VOTING BY DISTRICT, CLASS, OR VOTING GROUP.\n\n(a) This section applies if the organic rules provide for\n\nvoting by district or class, or if there is one or more identifiable\n\nvoting groups that a proposed amendment to the organic rules would\n\naffect differently from other members with respect to matters\n\nidentified in paragraphs (1) through (5) of subsection (e) of\n\nSection 37 of this act. Approval of the amendment requires the same\n\npercentage of votes of the members of that district, class, or\n\nvoting group required in Sections 37 and 53 of this act.\n\n(b) If a proposed amendment to the organic rules would affect\n\nmembers in two or more districts or classes entitled to vote\n\nseparately under subsection (a) of this section in the same or a\n\nsubstantially similar way, the districts or classes affected must\n\nvote as a single voting group unless the organic rules otherwise\n\nprovide for separate voting.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"88f0c20b8729ccb91a8ed88ee1acf77200ee61c1285858d75e01b79a00a2d6b6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-441-403","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-441-405"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
