Stat. tit. 18, § 18-441-808","heading":"Suspension of director by board","body":"SUSPENSION OF DIRECTOR BY BOARD.\n\n(a) A board of directors may suspend a director if, considering\n\nthe director’s course of conduct and the inadequacy of other\n\navailable remedies, immediate suspension is necessary for the best\n\ninterests of the association and the director is engaging, or has\n\nengaged, in:\n\n(1) Fraudulent conduct with respect to the association or its\n\nmembers;\n\n(2) Gross abuse of the position of director;\n\n(3) Intentional or reckless infliction of harm on the\n\nassociation; or\n\n(4) Any other behavior, act, or omission as provided by the\n\norganic rules.\n\n(b) A suspension under subsection (a) of this section is\n\neffective for thirty (30) days unless the board of directors calls\n\nand gives notice of a special meeting of members for removal of the\n\ndirector before the end of the thirty-day period in which case the\n\nsuspension is effective until adjournment of the meeting or the\n\ndirector is removed.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"36c199e5bb0da87afcea91458bc3d2c80c725b823519dc96679ac35b1445e432","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-441-807","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-441-809"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
