Stat. tit. 18, § 18-552.4","heading":"Persons and organizations exempt","body":"Except as otherwise specifically provided in the Oklahoma\n\nSolicitation of Charitable Contributions Act, the provisions of\n\nSections 552.3 of this title shall not apply to the following\n\npersons:\n\n1. Organizations incorporated for religious purposes and\n\nactually engaged in bona fide religious programs, and other\n\norganizations directly operated, supervised, or controlled by a\n\nreligious organization;\n\n2. Educational institutions that have a faculty, regularly\n\nenrolled students and offer courses of study leading to the granting\n\nof recognized degrees when solicitations of contributions are\n\nprimarily confined to its student body and their families, alumni,\n\nfaculty and trustees and any 501(c)(3) organization authorized by\n\nand having an established identity with such institutions;\n\n3. Fraternal organizations, when soliciting from their own\n\nmembers, and patriotic and civic organizations, when solicitation of\n\ncontributions is confined to the membership of said organizations,\n\nand the solicitation is managed by their own membership without paid\n\nsolicitors; and\n\n4. Persons soliciting contributions for a named individual\n\nperson, when such individual person is specified by name at the time\n\nof solicitation, the purpose for such contribution is clearly\n\nstated, and if the gross contributions collected, without any\n\ndeductions whatsoever for the benefit of the solicitor or any other\n\nperson, be deposited directly to an account in the name of the\n\nbeneficiary established for that purpose at a licensed local bank,\n\nand if such contributions are used for the direct benefit of the\n\nnamed individual person as beneficiary.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"47794125767ab5de7bfd95383ddc53a19c6d96378b312611a705c8cafcca82a7","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-552.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-552.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
