Stat. tit. 18, § 18-563","heading":"Title vests in successors in trust","body":"All grants or deeds from private individuals, or acts of\n\nlegislative bodies, transferring, conveying or granting real estate\n\nin this state to any bishop, dean, rector, vestryman, deacon,\n\ndirector, minister or any other officer or officers of any church or\n\norganized religious society in trust for the use and benefit of such\n\nsociety of which they are such officer or officers, which have been\n\nor may be made, done or executed, shall vest in their successor or\n\nsuccessors in office, or other officer which such society may at any\n\ntime designate, all the legal or other title, to the same extent and\n\nin all respects the same, as trustee of such trust, for the use and\n\nbenefit of such society, which such bishop, dean, rector, vestryman,\n\ndeacon, director, minister or other officer or officers, had under\n\nsuch grant, deed or act; and all transfers or sales made by such\n\nofficer or officers so acquiring title by virtue of this article, by\n\nsuccession in office shall have all the validity, force and effect\n\nthat it would have had had it been made by such bishop, dean,\n\nrector, vestryman, deacon, director, minister or other officer or\n\nofficers, while holding under and by virtue of such grant, deed or\n\nact of such legislative body.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"7a5d0340fdac19104497c922a7ed16f381c93093a05f1d52afa128d1ea6efca8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-562","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-564.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
