Stat. tit. 18, § 18-863","heading":"Nonprofit corporations for creating rural water and sewer","body":"districts - Exemption from taxation and assessments.\n\nA corporation organized not for profit pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of the Oklahoma General Corporation Act for the purpose\n\nof developing and providing rural water supply and sewage disposal\n\nfacilities to serve rural residents shall be exempt from all excise\n\ntaxes of whatsoever nature, and shall be exempt from payment of\n\nassessments in any general or special taxing district levied upon\n\nthe property of said corporation, whether real, personal or mixed;\n\nsuch exemption shall include, but not be limited to, franchise\n\ntaxes, assessments or fees levied by any county or municipality for\n\ninspections of the facilities of the corporation which were not\n\nrequested by the corporation. Said corporations shall have the\n\nright of eminent domain in the same manner and according to the\n\nprocedures provided for in Sections 51 through 65 of Title 66 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, provided, that the use of said eminent domain\n\nprovisions shall be restricted to the purpose of developing and\n\nproviding rural gas distribution, water supply and sewage disposal\n\nfacilities.
