Stat. tit. 18, § 18-903","heading":"Organization - Purpose","body":"A business development corporation may be incorporated in this\n\nstate pursuant to the provisions of this act and all the provisions\n\nof the Oklahoma General Corporation Act not in conflict with or\n\ninconsistent with the provisions of this act shall apply to such\n\ncorporation except as hereinafter otherwise provided.\n\nTen or more persons, a majority of whom shall be residents of\n\nthis state, who desire to create a business development corporation\n\nunder the provisions of this act, shall by certificate of\n\nincorporation filed with the Secretary of State, under their hands\n\nand seal, set forth:\n\n(1) The name of the corporation, which shall include the words\n\n\"Oklahoma Business Development Corporation\".\n\n(2) The location of the principal office of the corporation, but\n\nsuch corporation may have offices in such other places within the\n\nstate as may be fixed by the board of directors.\n\n(3) The purpose for which the corporation is founded, which\n\nshall include the following:\n\nThe purposes of the corporation shall be to promote, stimulate,\n\ndevelop and advance to business prosperity and economic welfare of\n\nthe State of Oklahoma and its citizens; to encourage and assist\n\nthrough loans, investments or other business transactions in the\n\nlocation of new business and industry in this state and to improve\n\nand assist existing business and industry, and so to stimulate and\n\nassist in the expansion of all kinds of business activity which will\n\ntend to promote the business development and maintain the economic\n\nstability of this state and provide maximum opportunities for\n\nemployment; to cooperate and act in conjunction with other\n\norganizations, public or private, in the promotion and advancement\n\nof industrial, commercial, agricultural and recreational\n\ndevelopments in this state; and to provide financing for the\n\npromotion, development, and conduct of all kinds of business\n\nactivity in this state.","path":["OK Code","Title 18"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os18.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1978bf7999c23dddacdfbf6285f14d65cdf6a93e005ddbe3222ef52e71ebe4f2","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-902","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-18-18-904"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
