Stat. tit. 19, § 19-1002","heading":"Purpose - Commission created","body":"The purpose of this act is to foster and promote the\n\nestablishment, maintenance and operation of city-county park and\n\nrecreation systems in order to give all of the citizens of the\n\ncounties affected hereby equal access to a comprehensive system of\n\nrecreational facilities. It is the policy of the state to encourage\n\nthe formation of such cooperative park and/or recreation systems to\n\nthe end of avoiding unnecessary duplication in the maintenance and\n\noperation of public recreational facilities.\n\nIn order to make adequate recreational services available to the\n\nresidents of the more densely populated counties of this state, to\n\nprovide for the most efficient development of recreational\n\nfacilities for such counties and to provide for each of such\n\ncounties a city-county park and recreation system, there is hereby\n\ncreated in each such county which avails itself of the provisions of\n\nthis act a city-county park and recreation commission, with the\n\npowers and duties set out in this act.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"03c032c379b126bb99409b843f9e4ec6969478abba42af226b8a918366abe536","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-1001","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-1003"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
