Stat. tit. 19, § 19-1007","heading":"Annual budget, contributions and expenditures - Tax levy","body":"It shall be the duty of the commission to prepare an annual\n\nbudget which shall be subject to the approval of the governing body\n\nof the city and the board of county commissioners.\n\nEach county and city establishing a city-county park and\n\nrecreation system, as herein provided, at the beginning of each\n\nfiscal year or as soon thereafter as may be practicable, shall agree\n\nupon the necessary contributions to be made by each for the\n\nestablishment, operation and maintenance of the city-county park and\n\nrecreation system, appropriate such funds as may be agreed upon, and\n\ncombine said funds with funds from any other source. Periodically,\n\nas may be agreed upon, the city and county shall contribute their\n\nappropriated funds to a common fund upon claims therefor being filed\n\nby the commission with the governing body of the city and with the\n\nboard of county commissioners. After approval of the claims, the\n\ncontributions shall be made by warrants, issued by the appropriate\n\nofficers and made payable to the city treasurer or county treasurer,\n\nas may be agreed upon by the city and county. Said common fund\n\nshall be maintained as a depository account with either the city\n\ntreasurer or county treasurer, as may be agreed upon, and shall be\n\ndisbursed upon vouchers drawn by such officer or employee of the\n\ncommission as may be agreed upon by the city and county. Said\n\nvouchers shall be issued only in payment of claims which have been\n\nexecuted in the manner prescribed by law for claims against the\n\ncounty or the city, and after such claims have been approved by the\n\ngoverning body of the city and the board of county commissioners,\n\nand before delivery to the payee, shall be registered with the city\n\ntreasurer or county treasurer, as the case may be.\n\nThe officer or employee of the commission designated by the city\n\nand county to draw vouchers in payment of such claims shall be\n\nbonded in an amount as may be required by the city and county, but\n\nnot less than Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). The designated\n\nofficer or employee shall be governed by the same statutory\n\nprovisions relating to depository accounts as apply to county\n\nofficials generally. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as\n\nexempting from the application of the general statutes relating to\n\nappropriations the funds contributed by the city and county to this\n\ncommon fund.\n\nIncome of the city-county park and recreation system from fees,\n\nsales of personal property, and other miscellaneous sources,\n\nexcluding income from sales of real property, shall not be\n\nconsidered general revenue of either the city or the county. It\n\nshall be deposited promptly with the city treasurer or the county\n\ntreasurer, as the case may be, and shall be credited directly to the\n\ndepository account of the commission without appropriation. Income\n\nfrom this source shall constitute a revolving fund which shall not\n\nbe subject to fiscal limitations and which may be expended by the\n\ncommission for the replacement or repair of recreation equipment and\n\nother personal property other than motor vehicles.\n\nThe board of county commissioners of any county availing itself\n\nof the provisions of this act may provide for the erection of\n\nbuildings or other structures for recreational purposes or functions\n\nby providing for a tax levy therefor under the provisions of Article\n\nX, Section 10 of the Constitution of the State of Oklahoma.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4137b8e13750c8b196bce9b513b21ab7f3a632421867ca19c75777935d8313e2","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-1006","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-1008"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
