The term of office of every member elected to an original\n\nboard shall be until the date of annual meeting of the residents of\n\nthe district of either the first, second, or third year following\n\nthe year of the incorporation of the district and until their\n\nsuccessors are elected and have qualified, and as nearly as possible\n\nthe terms of an equal number of directors on any such board shall\n\nexpire on each of the dates.\n\nB. At each annual meeting after the year of the election of the\n\noriginal board members, elections shall be held to elect directors\n\nto fill any position on the board, the term of office of which has\n\nexpired, and any director so elected shall hold office for a term of\n\nthree (3) years and until a successor is elected and has qualified.\n\nFor the purpose of election of board members and for such other\n\npurposes as the bylaws may prescribe, annual meetings of residents\n\nshall be held by each district between January 1 and March 1 of each\n\nyear following the year of incorporation of such district. The\n\nboard of directors shall cause notice of the time and place of each\n\nannual meeting and the purpose thereof to be given to each of its\n\nparticipating members.
