Stat. tit. 19, § 19-1253","heading":"Grounds for sustaining action against board of county","body":"commissioners.\n\nNo suit shall be sustained to set aside any assessment, or to\n\ncontest the area of assessment, or to enjoin the board of county\n\ncommissioners from levying or collecting any such assessment, or\n\ninstallment thereof, or interest or penalty thereon, or issuing the\n\nbonds, or providing for their payment or contesting the validity\n\nthereof on any ground, or for any reason, other than for the failure\n\nof the board to adopt and publish the resolution declaring the\n\nnecessity for such improvements and the publication thereof as\n\nprovided in Section 6 of this act, and to give notice of the hearing\n\non the return of the appraisers unless such suit shall be commenced\n\nnot more than fifteen (15) days after the publication of the\n\nresolution levying assessments and no suit shall be sustained after\n\nthe work has been completed and accepted by such county, except for\n\nfailure to give such notice of the preliminary resolution of\n\nnecessity or the failure to give the notice of the hearing on such\n\nreturn of the appraisers; and provided, further, that in the event\n\nany special assessment shall be found to be invalid or insufficient,\n\nin whole or in part, for any reason whatever the board may, at any\n\ntime in such manner provided for levying an original assessment,\n\nproceed to cause a new assessment to be made and levied which shall\n\nhave like force and effect as an original assessment.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0e52559b666605111e7d6f141fcafce89a427bf30695c9f5f55e4b96c5dbd1af","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-1252","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-1254"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
