Stat. tit. 19, § 19-1260","heading":"Consent of registered owners of bond to payment of","body":"special assessments - Presentment for payment - Endorsement -\n\nCancellation.\n\nWhenever the outstanding bonds in any series issued for the\n\npayment of road or street improvements in any district have been\n\nregistered in accordance with the provisions of Section 1259 of this\n\ntitle, all of the registered owners of all of such bonds may file\n\ntheir consent in writing with the county clerk in which such\n\ndistrict is located, that bonds of such series may be used in\n\npayment of special assessments in accordance with the provisions of\n\nthis act; and such written consent shall be binding upon any\n\ntransferee or assignee of any of such bonds, and upon all of the\n\nregistered owners signing the same, as to all payments made in\n\npursuance hereof, until written notice be filed with the clerk by\n\nany such registered owner, or registered transferee or assignee, of\n\nany such bond, terminating his consent thereto. After such written\n\nconsent is filed, as aforesaid, and until written notice of\n\ntermination is given as herein provided, the owner of any property\n\nin any such road improvement district may, with the written consent\n\nof the registered owner, or owners thereof, present to the county\n\nclerk of such county, the bond bearing the lowest serial number of\n\nthe bonds outstanding in such series, or if the same be\n\ninsufficient, then he may present the next serially numbered bond,\n\nor bonds, as the case may require, in payment of the special\n\nassessment, or of any installment thereof, upon said owner's\n\nproperty in such road improvement district, whether delinquent or\n\nunmatured, with all interest and penalty thereon. The clerk of said\n\ncounty shall endorse upon said bond, or bonds, the amount of the\n\ninstallment, or installments, and interest and penalty thereon, for\n\nwhich the registered owner, or owners, consent that said bond may be\n\ntendered as payment, and thereupon the clerk shall issue a receipt\n\nto the owner of such property to the extent of such installment,\n\ntogether with interest and penalty, for which credit has been\n\nendorsed, as aforesaid, upon said bond or bonds.
