Stat. tit. 19, § 19-1302","heading":"Wellness Council","body":"Each county or city-county health department may establish a\n\nWellness Council to develop a wellness program for its employees.\n\nParticipation in the program shall be available to all full-time\n\nemployees. The Wellness Council shall establish determining factors\n\nin order to monitor achievement of and maintenance of healthy\n\nlifestyles with the ultimate goal of reduction of claims and\n\nsubsequent reduction of costs for health insurance.\n\nEach county or city-county health department may establish a\n\nseparate fund to be designated as the \"Wellness Program Fund\". The\n\nWellness Program Fund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to\n\nfiscal year limitations and shall consist of all monies received by\n\nthe Wellness Council through general county funds and through\n\ngrants, donations, contributions and gifts from public or private\n\nsources. Monies from the Wellness Program Fund may be used for\n\nincentives to encourage participation by employees and for costs\n\nrelated to the operation of the Wellness Council.\n\nThe Wellness Council shall track the number of participants, the\n\ncost of insurance premiums, and expenditure of funds on an annual\n\nbasis and report findings to the board of county commissioners or\n\nthe city-county board of health at a regularly scheduled meeting in\n\nJanuary.
