Stat. tit. 19, § 19-166","heading":"Forfeiture of travel allowance - Membership organizations","body":"- Attending conferences, etc. - Traveling expenses.\n\nFailure of a county officer to attend any school, conference or\n\nmeeting unless excused prior thereto shall cause the county officer\n\nto forfeit his right to the monthly travel allowance provided by\n\nSection 165 of this title for the month in which such school,\n\nconference or meeting is held. The directing state officer or\n\nagency head shall notify the county clerk of the county of the\n\nforfeiture of such county officer. Any county, county officer or\n\ndeputy may join his respective state, national or international\n\nassociation, including but not limited to, the National Association\n\nof Counties, the International Association of Assessors and the\n\nInternational Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials\n\nand Treasurers. It shall not be mandatory for a county officer or\n\nhis deputy to attend any meeting, school, institute or conference\n\nsponsored or held by anyone other than a state officer or agency\n\nhead, but if funds are available for travel to such meeting, school,\n\ninstitute or conference, either within or outside this state, from\n\nfunds appropriated for traveling expenses in addition to the monthly\n\ntravel allowance provided by Section 165 of this title, then it\n\nshall be lawful for such traveling expenses to be paid from such\n\ntravel funds so appropriated to the county officer or his deputies.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f185b228b75a8f99bfbacdf36f9f76c2bd584e7be542efa5f9c8ac0f621eed35","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-165","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-167"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
