Stat. tit. 19, § 19-167","heading":"Blanket bond","body":"The board of county commissioners of each county is hereby\n\ndirected to purchase from the lowest bidder a surety contract or\n\ncontracts in the form known as a \"blanket bond\" to cover all county\n\nofficers, appointive officers, employees and reserve force deputy\n\nsheriffs in the manner hereinafter provided. No other bond shall be\n\nacceptable as surety for any elected or appointed officer or\n\nemployee of this state in lieu of the blanket bond provided for\n\nherein unless the blanket bond is provided for as a specified item\n\nin an all risk insurance policy purchased by the county. For\n\npurposes of this act, a \"blanket bond\" is defined as a public\n\nemployees' blanket position bond which covers all employees up to\n\nthe penalty of the bond for each employee and the full penalty of\n\nthe bond is always in force during its term and no restoration is\n\nnecessary and there is no additional premium after a loss is paid.\n\nThe district attorney shall bring an action on the blanket bond to\n\nrecover any loss by the county which is covered by the bond.\n\nReserve deputy sheriffs shall also be covered by workers'\n\ncompensation insurance as provided in Section 1 et seq. of Title 85\n\nof the Oklahoma Statutes.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f4be4c7aa9c9f298b1d63450aef8aa0e01496e94dbee15461927a5f852b9be18","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-166","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-168"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
