The district attorney is hereby authorized to destroy all or\n\na portion of his or her office records and files relating to:\n\n1. Any felony case or record relating to a felony investigation\n\nexcept where a homicide is involved, provided a period of ten (10)\n\nyears shall have elapsed since the last action in said case, or\n\nwhere the district attorney has digitized or provided computer\n\nstorage for such felony cases;\n\n2. Any misdemeanor case, traffic case, wildlife case or record\n\nrelating to a misdemeanor, traffic or wildlife investigation,\n\nprovided a period of five (5) years shall have elapsed since the\n\nlast action in said case, or where the district attorney has\n\ndigitized or provided computer storage for such misdemeanor, traffic\n\nor wildlife cases to be destroyed;\n\n3. Any juvenile case, provided a period of ten (10) years shall\n\nhave elapsed since the last action in said case, or where the\n\ndistrict attorney has digitized or provided computer storage for\n\nsuch juvenile case to be destroyed; and\n\n4. Any civil case, provided a period of ten (10) years shall\n\nhave elapsed since the last action in said case, or where the\n\ndistrict attorney has digitized or provided computer storage for\n\nsuch civil case to be destroyed.\n\nB.
