All assistant district attorneys who are paid in excess of\n\nfifty percent (50%) of the salary of the district attorney shall not\n\nengage in the private practice of law, but may complete pending\n\ncases of a civil nature, not in conflict with the interests of any\n\ncounty of the district in which appointed. No assistant district\n\nattorney permitted to practice law shall accept employment in a case\n\ninvestigated by the office of the district attorney.\n\nB. Each county in a district shall have at least one assistant\n\ndistrict attorney who shall reside in the county or an adjoining\n\ncounty.\n\nC. Each assistant district attorney shall: be at least twenty-\n\none (21) years of age; be a resident of the district, if required by\n\nthe district attorney; and have a license to practice law in the\n\ncourts of record of this state at the time of appointment.
